Diego Godoy is a Bristol-based artist who expresses his creativity through both traditional media such as watercolours, acrylic and oil paints as well as unconventional techniques and materials, incorporating living plants, recycled electronics and upcycled parts into his quirky creations.
Diego was born in Japan and was driven to experiment with pens and paints from an early age. For many years his sketches and drawings were kept mainly private until 2013 when he moved to Bristol and, encouraged by the arty vibe of the city, he established his enterprise and started showcasing and selling his creations at the Harbourside Market.
Since then his career as a successful self-taught artist grew to a whole new level and you can find Diego’s paintings and a range of Bristol souvenirs in many shops across the city.
In July 2018 Diego and his market-trading friend Mariusz Pionka of Pionka’s Chocolate opened a shop called ‘Art&Chocolate’ within the heart of Bristol’s famous independent shopping district on Gloucester Road.
